Vanilla-flavored banana turnovers

Ingredients

- 3 bananas
- A knob of butter
- One tablespoon sugar
- Vanilla powder (one teaspoon for ten turnovers)
- Coconut milk
- Short crust pastry

Directions

Crush the peeled bananas and blend them into butter, sugar, and vanilla powder. Boil the whole mixture in a sauce pan with a few tablespoons of water. After that, leave this red mixture to cool, in the covered sauce pan. Meanwhile, prepare the short crust pastry. Once the pastry is unrolled, cut it into about 10 cm round pieces and spread banana on one half of each piece of pastry. Fold the pastry over the filling to close and pinch the edges tightly to seal. Bake for about 30 minutes at 180 degrees. If you wish, the turnovers may be served accompanied by coconut milk.
